Today's website update :
- Fixed bug about the score calculation (the score was wrongly set to 400pt)
- Fixed bug about the serveur moderation (moderators weren't able to stop/start openttd)
- Upgrade of the OpenTTD page, with the addition of recent games view.
- Upgrade of the Members page, also with the addition of recent games view.

The entire web site has been remade using the Play framework technology.

It's still in beta stage and some pages are missing, but updates will come soon.

09/19, 2011 11:40PM - OpenTTD 1.1.3 & Changelog
Along with the 1.1.3 game update, appears a new game objective.
The score is now the performance of the company after 10 years.
As always, the player with the best score is the game's winner.
Being logged is no longer required to create a company.

08/15, 2011 08:04PM - Bug fix : OpenTTD web wiew and in game login.
New server update today,

Fixes :
- the website never showed the right 'game current date' and 'game started date';
- a nasty bug with the login token: in some rare cases, the login token was the same for two different persons, it won't happen again.

Still to fix :
- the leaderboard for August 2011;
- a 'same map' cycling issue.

This version is still in a stabilization phase,

Update today !

The openttd java client is now using the admin port. This way of monitoring the game is much more relaible.
And the migration to openttd 1.1.2 will be almost costless.

This version is in a stabilization phase,
Hope it will work smoothly, keep me informed.

08/04, 2011 02:52PM - About the work in progress.
I have been quite busy recently, and the next update requests a lot of work.

Since openttd 1.0.0, the game's network code changes every new version.
Changes are not always big, but it requests some work to find how to update the client.
That's why the game client's code looked like a patchwork and needed a rewrite.
During the 1.1.1 update, i unintentionaly introduced a bug on the company numbering, and i found it easier to do the rewrite than finding it.

What has been done :
- New "OpenTTD-Admin java client",
- New goal robot.

Work in progress :
- Integration the new robot with the old website,
- Test of the robot.

Remaining work :
- Cleaning of the code and preparation for the opening of the client sources,
- New web site.

Hi,

Tonight skill and login systems has both been patched.

- The 'Remember me' tick box, on the login frame, will now be operational,
- the login token is now shorter, to help people without copy/paste,
- the skill calculation should work as JStaxton specified it,
- minor modifications of the !rules.

This is not the final skill system's version, but it's not bugged any more.

Hi everybody,

After a busy week end, here is the list of improvement :

- Robot's timeouts are now based on the game's date, instead of real life minutes,
- The robot stability as been greatly improved, this will help the future 1.1.0 transition,
- Some minor bugs around score and skill display. The skill system is not ready for now but it will come soon,
- And some gameplay modifications :
    - The house destruction multiplied by 4
    - The road destruction multiplied by 4
    - The aqueduc/canal construction divided by 4

    - The running cost of aircraft multiplied by 4

This version is much more stable, and i will focus the skill system from now on.

01/04, 2011 01:14PM - Happy new year & Server changes n°2
There are a lot of stuff for these new eve update ! Their goal is to address the current issues of the server as well as increase the challenge to get a win on the server !

First of all the rules of the server have been updated on the forum(see "Server Rules, Scenario details" section) and in game.
The next-next-turn(and so the exploit of the 25% instantly unloaded) is now forbidden.
The catchment size exploit (one station that cover the whole city via unused bus stop for example) is forbidden as well, the change n°1 reduced he cost of the bus/truck, you have to use transfer instead of the single station that cover the whole city/all the industries ! (And it increase the money earned since you increase the distance from where your passengers/goods come from) It's now also forbidden to buy stop-station on a city owned road. Since we addressed both of the issues, the server now allow to buy 2 station next to each other without destroying the first one(as long as they got the same length).

The server no longer track company value, but company performance instead, the !cp command has been introduced, !cv still work for more convenience but link to the !cp result.([url=http://www.strategy-board.net/forum/posts/list/156.page]see forum for detailed formula[/url])
And finally the catchment size of the station has changed, increased for dock, and reduced for bus/truck stations.

The victory condition value for each environment are currently on testing, it's 400 point for all the environment, except high speed which is 450.

Hi,

We added a new GRF on the server, so we could change some cost.
The cost of buying bus/truck have been divided by 2, while the terraforming have been multiplicated by 8. That should increase a lot the challenge of the server !

More changes will arrive soon !
